It is no secret that mix + match bridesmaid dresses are a major wedding trend right now, and we don’t see this trend going anywhere any time soon! Be that amazing modern bride. Have your girls shop for their own dress that will leave them comfortable, confident, and radiant (but of course, not outshining the blushing bride!). Believe us, they will thank you! We hate to break it to you, but unlike the jeans in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, the existence of a magical dress to fit all the body types of your closest friends is a myth.
Whether you decide to mix and match in dress styles, yet keeping with the same fabric and color, -OR- if you are a little more daring and channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw by having your maids in complete styles of their own- these dresses by Show Me Your Mumu are a great place to start! We can’t get enough of the wonderful hues and silhouettes they have to offer. Let’s take a look at some of our (current) favorites.
Dusty Blush Crisp: a slightly more rich, dusty pink than the trending soft peachy hue. This look will be great in any setting and screams endless elegance… just kidding, Dusty Blush Crisp is far too sophisticated and poised to scream.
Frosty Pink Crisp: a graceful and dreamy tone. Frosty Pink Crisp is such a natural friend to Dusty Blush Crisp. Actually, they may even be cousins.
Rustic Mauve Crisp: the closest thing to perfection- not too pink and not too beige. How many times have you tried to describe this color? Rustic Mauve truly transcends all venues and seasons. Picture this color in Tuscany, on white sands, in a gorgeous secret garden or desert.
Dune Chiffon: our favorite neutral. This is the perfect taupe-ish color that would be a great choice for a late summer/ early fall affair. And just look at how magical this color would be paired with Rustic Mauve Crisp! Droolworthy.
Show Me The Ring Crisp: an elegant and simple neutral. This is a great color choice if you are after a royal Kate Middleton– inspired wedding. There is something magical about an all white wedding.
Soft Charcoal Crisp: a universal flattering shade of grey. This is a great eye-popping choice for a range of skin tones. Consider this color if you would like your girls to be unified in fabric and color.
Poolside Chiffon: a tasteful aqua-teal pop of color. Like Soft Charcoal Crisp, this is a universally flattering color choice sure to make anyone’s eyes pop!
Silver Sage Crisp: a wise and complimentary tone. Another flattering option as it is a modern neutral that will have Grandma crying… tears of joy!
Dusty Mint Crisp: a romantically soft shade with minty undertones. This is the slightly brighter sister of Silver Sage Crisp that is still subtly dusty. Just picture this beauty in a lovely garden party setting.
Hutch Green Crisp: a classy jewel tone. This color makes us crave a trip to the Emerald City. Jewel tones are a smart and sophisticated way to incorporate rich color, while still allowing for details like florals to POP! It also helps that jewel tones look good on literally everyone and with every hair color.
Make these fabulous blank slates your own by adding minimal and understated accessories or layered and statement necklaces. Maybe even top the look with a lovely flower crown! We personally love the idea of pairing mismatch delicate gold jewelry and nude heels (even in a suede peeptoe!) to bring cohesion to mix and match dresses. Consider mixing these gowns with other rich textures, lace, beadwork, or a gorgeous pattern to make them perfect for any style of wedding from modern, to classic, to boho, or glamorous. No more stressing to find the perfect dress (that doesn’t exist) fitting for all of your closest friends!
With so many beautiful dresses it’s hard to decide a favorite, but challenge accepted! Here are our our top picks of the bunch. (If you ask us tomorrow, we’ll probably have new faves!)
Check out these real wedding mix + match dresses for additional inspiration. Spoiler alert: there is even a look to inspire an outfit for engagement photos! The added beauty of these dresses is their soft, flowy fabric photographs so well!
