We love decorating for all seasons and occasions, but scary isn’t exactly our thing. (And spiders… super gross!) There is a way to join the fun festivities with simple + classy Halloween decor. We’ve rounded up some of our favorites as well as a few of the ways we’ve decorated in our homes this year. Let’s put some ‘eek’ in the weekend.
No. 1: Painted Pumpkins
Just add a little paint to a few pumpkins + display on pedestals, candlesticks, or cake stands.
Pro tip: Incorporate unexpected blooms because who says Halloween can’t also be pretty?
No. 2: Friendly Ghost Cookies
via Make Me Cake Me
A tulip cookie cutter turned upside down quickly becomes a ghost! We might be tempted to eat a dozen of these pop-able, bite sized treats at a time… now THAT’S scary.
Pro tip: Get extra creative and add spooky “Ooooo” faces, sprinkles or even “Boo!”
No. 3: Amber Vases of “Gold Leaf” Twigs + Flowers
Let’s go simple and resourceful with these lovely amber bottles filled with seasonal flowers + twigs. Easy and doable on a whim!
Pro tip: Dab on some gold paint with a cotton ball for a faux gold leaf effect.
No. 4: Delicate Paper Bats
Add a dose of festivity to your dinner table place settings with this
cute spooky little bat! We prefer these small touches of Halloween silhouettes over the fake blood, masks, and other creepy things.
No. 5: Candy Containers
Lots of sweets, yes please! Treat yo’ self to a jar of candy you can enjoy for weeks. Fill containers with color coordinated sweets. Think orange + yellow, black + white, or even green + purple. This is seriously SO simple.
Pro tip: mix in some of these vessels to add festive flair
No. 6: Dracula’s Dentures
For an innocent trick, add a pair of vampire fangs to your toothbrush glass. Just don’t replace grandma’s dentures with these…or maybe do? “Muahaahah!”
The most important part of decorating is to reflect who you are. Have fun sprucing up your space with festive touches. We’d love to see how you decorate! Send us a message!
